A new Manhattan Project?
I've thought about this for years now.

Better go to India or China.
The prevailing attitude here in the US these days is:
"Don;t ask US to do the impossible, don't even ask us to do what's possible, but maybe difficult."
I regard Obama, the republicrats, and all US politicians as being symboloc of this prevailing attitude here in the US, unfortunately, since I am American.

Go to China, better yet India, they may have the mind, attitude, and drive to develop new things.
