There's been some talk here lately that makes me think some of you remember the pen and paper role playing games from back in the day.
If any of you were refs (gamemasters) what sort were you?
1) The type who is strictly by the book, sticking to the rules, and results of dice rolls always.
or
2) The type who says rules and random dice rolls are a tool. And that any random number, or rule can be 'modified' at any time in order to further the plot, and entertain the players.
