Crap, I turned 11 in 77. All the technology we had back then was pong! We didn't even have Atari yet! Interesting video. It had me thinking about Pythagoras. Second and maybe third hand accounts seem to say Pythagoras said numbers and math were a fundamental force of nature. To my way of thinking that's not far from saying information is a fundamental force of nature, and it's not a big leap from there to say, "computer programmed reality."

PKD was great. I read Valis and I was very disappointed. It's so sad when the great thinkers try and figure out a way to slip religion in and it destroys where they could end up. It was an interesting story, though, but I wish he could have separated the Christianity from his own thoughts.
