So Im guessing this technology will be used to also create augmented reality goggles or artificial retinas. Which will let us see in the dark, have thermal vision, xrays , gamma rays, capacity to zoom in clearly at a distant object, and am guessing they can be used to 3d map the position of objects by the bouncing of light back to the nanotubes light receptors and link up with satellites to provide a HUD type position marker.
Basically military, pilots, surgeons, and other workers in other areas will feel like they are in a video game.
