Dr. Rupert Sheldrake published a book espousing his morphic field concept back in 1981. The editor of Nature is said to have remarked that he considered the book the best candidate for burning - it was that upsetting that a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge would propose such an outlandish concept.
The Presence of the Past: Morphic Resonance and the Memory of Nature is a 2012 update of this concept that relates what has transpired in new findings and further elaboration of the concept since 1981.
Dr. Sheldrake in 2012 also published
Science Set Free: 10 Paths to New Discovery in which he proposes there are 10 areas in science that need to be set free on the basis of new thinking. (This appears under the title
The Science Delusion in the UK.)
