Don't know if any of you have come across this. I'm not a gamer but there's a new game out called No Man's Sky:

Do a YouTube search for more on this. The algorithms involved seem to suggest the kind of programmed reality Jim discusses in his book.

I'm fascinated. Are we now more closer to creating software that might have similarities to our own reality?
