Avid transhumanist and friend Giulio Prisco has done an excellent review of the soon-to-be released book The Simulated Multiverse by MIT scientist Rizwan Virk

The Turing Church Newsletter

This book has all the old news about the simulation hypothesis, but the "multiverse" spin on simulated reality ("the universe has layers" approach) is quite interesting. Then check out more about the Turing Church and the intersection of religion and science.

Thanks for the post, jdlaw. Have you read it? Curious to see if anyone out there has read it. I'll probably pick it up soon. Rizwan was on a panel with me at the 2021 Contact in the Desert event, called "Consciousness, AI & Communication with Non-Human Intelligence: NDE’s, OBE’s, and the Quantum Field Panel" Very smart guy and I suspect his book is well worth the read.
