I find this entire thing a waste of time. Believe me I may wish more than anyone that aliens do befriend us, that we could expand our knowledge and move on to bigger things... The reality is it's simply not happening in our lifetime.

No one on that "panel" has any qualification to address the subject in any way. No human does. We can’t just reach for these answers, we have to achieve them. The answers will come to us when we are ready. Whatever these unidentified things are, they are intelligent and observant. If they felt we were worthy of communication, they would have communicated with us. We are not even close to being ready for that. Our planet has many wondrous things, but the structure of our civilization with it’s multiple competing nation states and poverty is just far too hostile for any kind of introduction from the outside. We have nothing much good to offer anyone out there, and we would undoubtedly attempt to exploit any new technologies for military purposes it would create a new type of arms race and likely accelerate our destruction.

I wouldn't call it much of a disinformation "campaign", just fantastical lies they are trying to sell. Like a few years ago when Tom Delonge ended up doing those UFO panels with "intelligence insiders from the highest level". They look like con artists.

Back to the link above this David Grusch, let's assume he is telling the truth that he saw these things. First his story makes him sound like a discount Bob Lazar. Yeah, we've heard this before 30 years ago, the government has "alien craft" in their possession, more than one variant, some fully intact. He's pretty much copying Bob Lazar. I personally don't entirely discredit Bob Lazar, he may have actually seen this.

I'm not entirely denying the U.S. military has craft in their possession that would look alien to most people. I believe they do. If it is true, these craft are not of alien origin outside of earth. It's far more likely they are from ancient terrestrial origin, unearthed from a past advanced civilization.
