Here ya go, Tracy :-) Sorta doubly-inspired on this one, as Kurzweil's 'catchphrase' for 2010 is that 'computers will become invisible' meaning (as I understand it) that computers will become small enough to be embedded into things like our clothing, out nearby environment, etc on a mass scale. Thing is, I don't see this happening, at least not yet. 2010 is also the year that the late-great FM2030 wrote that: "If you are healthy in the year 2010, you have a high percentage of living through 2030. When you say 'computers become invisible' I think the interface. Like project natal. I watched the video that Jim posted about that. Crap, when my Sis got wii I told her, 'Thery're going to do away with that clumsy gadget you got there.' That's going to be big I think. Big clumsy clunky things like keyboards and mice, won't need any of that soon. If I live to be too much older I'll have to upgrade to a new machine, one that I work with a gesture, or spoken commands.
Crap, I remember the 60's. The changes we'll see in the next 10 years will be like the change we saw in the last 40.
Crazy.
