Dozens of discussions of the meaning of the apparent FTL behavior of neutrinos are already available online. Here’s a bit of humor from the cartoonist Walt Kelly that I think characterizes the situation. There’s not much humor in the physics business (or crowd), so we have to grab it when we can:

Mystical Leary,
Lyrical mist,
Physical theory,
Ethereal fizz.

(These were chapter titles in a Pogo cartoon book I owned many years ago. I may be the only one to notice that, put together, they made a clever, “subversive” poem.)
