The theory of time running out was devised by researchers from two Spanish universities trying to explain why the universe appeared to be spreading continuously and accelerating.

Observations of supernovae, or exploding stars, found the movement of light indicated they were moving faster than those nearer to the centre of the universe.

But the scientists claimed the accepted theory of an opposite force to gravity, known as dark energy, was wrong, and said the reality was that the growth of the universe was slowing.

Professor Jose Senovilla, Marc Mars and Raul Vera from the University of the Basque Country and the University of Salamanca said the deceleration of time was so gradual, it was imperceptible to humans.

Their proposal, published in the journal Physical Review D, claimed dark energy does not exist and that time was winding down to the point when it would finally grind to a halt long after the planet ceased to exist.

....

Ahhh time. A concept so difficult to try and explain or comprehend. What would it be like "outside" of time. It brings us back to the whole zen thing... everything just 'IS'.

"We are"

I'm still trying to fit my head around what seems to be the fact that time = motion. We've been looking for that universal force known as "the word" that propels us and creates all the power of the universe and gives energy to everything. Could TIME be that force that propels everything? We know its effects are "related" to gravity through experiments and math. But TIME is based on perception of it. If it feels slow or fast depends on your point of reference.

Example - a dust mite moves fast and is tiny and has a short lifespan, but to it, it might seem like a lifetime. To a person orbiting a black hole, they might think they are going about their daily lives while 1 parsec away people have lived lives. Gravity maybe slows down the vibration. The crowded mass all condensed slows everything including that force which drives the universe down (Time).

That is why in esoteric teachings the goal was to increase your "spin" and vibrational rate. To become "light" at its highest frequency and eventually exist outside of time. Generate your own energy? Who knows. Just some random thoughts on the subject.
