thanks for the reminder, neo. been waiting for this for many years now! what do you suppose they'll find? higgs boson? gravitons? mini black holes? alternate reality?

haha! i love a good conspiracy as much as the next guy, but having been in the high tech industry for many years, i can say that major projects like this one are always late, and continuously delayed. kind of goes with the territory.

The 6 billion dollar experiment, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvEK5uZXpZU&feature=relateda BBC documentary about the.. 6 billion dollar experiment. To address your question of what they might find, Jim, I really don't know, but in the documentary one of the physicists comments that one of the most interesting, maybe the most interesting of possible results is if they find nothing of note, thus forcing the physicist community to adapt their views of the Universe accordingly. interesting notion.

I am surprised that we don't talk more about this. At the heart of all the experimentations lie the theories. And at the heart of the theories lie the experimentations. These LHC experiments really do parallel the programmed reality theories. The Contact Muon Solenoid ("CMS"), just one of the many experimental organisations at CERN. They are exploring the concept of reality. CMS Physics

your thoughts, jdlaw? as you are one who follows the latest experiments in physics, i'd be particularly interested in your perspective.
for me, i don't particularly care for the Higg's field concept. doesn't strike me as being very zen and i think the design of the universe ultimately has to have beauty and simplicity. i can imagine many different directions that the course of scientific discovery could take, all of which are compatible with programmed reality. can you think of any experiments that would with lend support or detract support from our theory?
