This is quite an unnerving story that recently broke. People in the New Brunswick region of Canada appear to be coming down with some kind of new brain disease. No cause has yet been found. Anybody have a hypothesis as to what could be behind this strange syndrome? Link -

I wonder if cases will spring up elsewhere in Canada, or in the USA?

The symptoms sound insane. I would be on edge if I lived in New Brunswick. My guess is it has to do with the drinking water, either a toxin or unknown parasitic organisms similar to an amoeba are within the water supply. It doesn't appear contagious, so I don't think it will spread very far from the area.

I know what you mean, Jon D. If I lived there I'd be on edge 24/7. I would not dare drink the water or eat the sea food, etc. I'd even be wary of eating out in a restaurant. And yes, it could be a toxin or microorganism and I wonder just how long it's going to take the authorities to find the exact cause. Or will it remain a mystery. And just how many more poor souls will be struck down by it...
