Hi folks :) Thought I'd start a music thread on here, who knows what us guys are into musically. It might (or might not) surprise you that this Neo loves this tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFY4DxiHzTI

Good idea, Neo. Here's one of my fave tunes - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5s_fgQPzjMThis type of music really puts me in a good mood and galvanizes me into action. What a magical era that was for music.

Love this! I'm always in music discovery mode. I never heard of either of those two songs, so thanks for something new. And welcome back, Neo! As for me, I like a wide variety - Trance, Drum & Bass, Alt/Indie, Dance Pop, Hard Rock, old school Funk & Hip Hop One of the newest in my playlists is this one... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwZ1L_0QLjw

I'm just very thankful that from the 60's-90's we had so many talented musicians and artists I literally have a lifetime supply of music and i'm still discovering cool songs every week. Maybe unpopular opinion, but I think music has taken an atrocious turn in the last 20 years, I don't even care to even listen to what's new or trending. If I looked at a billboard top 100 right now I would probably only recognize 2 names on it. This one here always sticks with me, very nostalgic, even though I don't have much trance on my playlists - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMNfdz17Dh0Reminds me of 1996-1999 computer hacker phase, staying up all night on IRC and ICQ sitting on the floor in my living room with my laptop chatting with internet friends and girls. Napster running constantly, slowly downloading mp3's on my 56K modem, browsing geocities websites and whatever I could find. THAT was the real internet, and this is one of the songs I frequently had playing. ^ me around 1999 lol

It's funny that I still hear the same songs now that I did back then quite frequently, my music taste or lifestyle hasn't really changed much lol Some other favorites for many years - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mzyz2egx_0chttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZ_Om_VI_hYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrkIRa3cJvwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PPC7s2_Qh8Different tune but I also love this kind of music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwxcBaYJTokhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mCJVcZV6PuYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0ECeFFiZVwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wxyN3z9PL4There's a time and place for every great song

Some hidden gems I've found over the years in movie soundtracks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTe_3dnox7s - this one plays at the end of Howling 3, kick ass Australian horror movie from the 80s. Song is just awesome, a real gem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UkZpwHio7Y - totally random, very relaxing sound, I play this one a lot during late-evening bike rides https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blle_ggtoUMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t3SwC6_8akhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbjOaOlqg2Yhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LivLNdeHmww - kind of an eerie one, but it kicks ass. george clinton

Cool that the music thread got some traction :d/ (Jon D, you handsome devil you! ) Here's a much lesser known Girls Aloud tune with a funky beat. It was actually the original B side of the opening tune of this thread. Complete with sexy pic, those lasses could sure scrub up well! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtNYMf065z0
