These days it's not that unusual to read of British police investigating tweets, arresting some, & even jailing some folk - even after they've apologised (Lucy Connelly). This week we have the story of Graham Linehan flying into Heathrow, to be met by five armed officers over three tweets that he wrote months ago. Brrr. I feel like it just got quite chilly in the U.K.

Yeah, I hear ya, Neo! This country is getting worse. So much anger in the UK now too. People are so divided, nothing is progressing. It's a really unpleasant place to live. Some of my relatives have emigrated abroad. I don't blame them! One went to Portugal, another went to America. There will be nobody left in the UK before long!

Thanks for the reply Ekuma. We've got it bad in Ireland but if anything the UK has it worse. A lot of people here are saying that it seems like a war against the people, particularly the lower classes, but if so to what purpose & to what end? The "Raise the Colours" campaign certainly seems to be highlighting many such issues in Britain today.
