It could be that our present avg. life-span is nothing more than a function of evolution as it plays out in nature and that the progress of consciousness is being carried out by working within this virtual reality system as it evolves. So we have two systems co-evolving; 1. consciousness evolving itself via multiple dimensions of experience, and 2. this virtual reality evolving as we've noted through the various physical sciences.

Hi Roland,
Welcome to the forum and thanks much for your insights. Great thoughts.
Many would agree with you in the sense of physical reality evolving and the consciousness or soul evolving separately.
In the programmed reality context, the program construct evolves as we "play" and our consciousness (elsewhere) evolves as it learns.
Either way, a dual evolution.
