I'm always amazed living here in the Pacific Northwest by our carpet of trees.
Yet there is something odd and interesting about these long lived organisms.
It seems like they have been here since the dawn of man.
By that I mean, in the same spot.
If I was to go back 2000, or 5000 years I would see the same carpet of trees
only taller and more dense, without humans around. Yet the forrest would basically
be the same as it is today.
This is even more true on some of our open mid-west plains, where the trees along
the horizon have always been there and never encroached upon the open plain, when
one would think they would.
To me it looks alot like a programming anomaly that is closely linked to the consciousness
of the characters within the program.
Or I'm crazy.
Any thoughts?
