A controversial small step towards future quantum computing took place earlier last week. The worlds first commercial quantum computer is being offered by D-Wave Systems. It operates with 128 programmable flux qubits. Although this particular implementation is controversial... research into quantum annealing is at least a step in the right direction. :) -TheArchitect

For some reason this reminds me of a commercial I've been seeing lately:
Guy gets a big screen 3-D tv delivered, he looks at the delivery truck and on the side it says, "Coming soon, 4-D TV, no glasses needed!"
