A recent discovery of a Lake Ontario-sized lake full of liquid ethane on Saturn's moon, Titan makes me wonder about the origins of oil. Unless dinosaurs lived on Titan, this reserve of the equivalent of as much as 9-trillion barrels of oil certainly has an abiotic origin. What about our own oil? Check out my
